NYC is the home of several parks, one of which is The High Line Park. On the west side of Manhattan and running from 30th street down slightly past 13th street, this 1.4 mile park is certainly unique. Built on the elevated closed track of the New York Central Railroad offers an enjoyable casual walk where you can see the city skyline, an assortment of plants and flowers, contemporary art, and an occasional sunbather. There is also a place to dine. Along the way and on certain days and times, High Line Park offers special events which include tours, shows, family events and stargazing.

Although not a hot spot for movie locations, The High Line has appeared in films such as Thanks for Sharing and television shows such as Sex in the City. It is an excellent location to take photos and video as you can see from this brief video shot on my iPhone.
